ITA-SAN yodelling fresh For a good portion of authenticity and freshness in your Asian noodle dish, we recommend real, fresh Nudon noodles. They are an ideal basis for an Asian noodle dish that is as authentic as it is delicious. The Japanese type of noodle is made from wheat flour and thus stands out from other types of noodles from Asia, which are made from starch, tempura or rice flour. Other ingredients for Udon noodles are salt and water, which makes the noodles more similar to European varieties.
The noodles are the thickest in Japanese cuisine, white to pearl white and have a fairly soft consistency. Udon noodles are rich in carbohydrates, protein and calories, which is why they are not for those on a diet, but are the first choice for those who are taste conscious. Udon noodles are an ingredient in numerous Asian dishes, such as Bukkake Udon, Tanuki Udon or Temprua Udon, but also for soups, wok or pan dishes, salads or cold with spicy dips. In Korea, Nudon noodles are mainly used for ready meals.
